2500 Years ago Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya established his first formost Peetham at the divine lotus feet of Bhagavan Sri Krishna, Dwarka “Sharada Peetham”, in Dwarka, Gujarat. This Peetham,also known as the Paschimāmnāya Pītham or the peetha which was established in West direction Samaveda Āmnāya Pītham . also known as Kalika Matha another form of Sharada and Bhagavan Sri Krishna, is one of the four cardinal Peethams (mutts) founded by Adi Shankaracharya for the propagate Sanatana Dharma and Advaita Vedanta.
The foremost Peetham, or monastic seat, established by Adi Shankaracharya is Dwaraka Sharada Peetham in Dwaraka,. It is considered the first and most important of the four Peethams, or monastic institutions, that he founded for the protection of Sanatana Dharma and Vedas and for spreading the messge, teachings of Advaita Vedanta.

“नीलोत्पलदलाभासः सामवेदो हयाननः | अक्षमालान्वितो दक्षे वामे कम्बुधरः स्मृतः ||”.
Bhagavan Sri Krishna himself says in his Bhagavat Geeta
वेदानां सामवेदोऽस्मि देवानामस्मि वासव: |
इन्द्रियाणां मनश्चास्मि भूतानामस्मि चेतना || 22||
vedānāṁ sāma-vedo ’smi devānām asmi vāsavaḥ
indriyāṇāṁ manaśh chāsmi bhūtānām asmi chetanā
